Thanks! I noticed that the Eastern Towhee had a similar coloring pattern, and I wondered. Totally didn't notice the female.

The identification is also made based on the call and movement, which I do not believe were that of a kinglet.

AshleyT, I've uploaded the individual photos. They are all of the same bird, I followed it from leaf to leaf and am sure. I believe it is the bird I've noted, not a kinglet.

I've found so many like this and I've had trouble narrowing down an identification too. Definitely papery, not really velvety.
