This looks to me it could be a Painted Lady Butterfly or a American lady Butterfly. I'm sorry I can't be more precise.

My guess would be a type of Crane Fly... Yet what one, I can't say. The picture is a little blurry.

The Mishka Mallard Duck
Mallard Duck commented on by The Mishka Augusta, Georgia, USA13 years ago

My guess would be a female mallard that has something called Abberant Plumage. Abberant plumage is mainly diveded in to three groups.... Albinism, Leucism and Melanism. In this case I believe that this duck has Melanism in combination with Partial Albinism. I know that Mallards hybrid with Black ducks... and my guess it either one of those because of the Speculum feathers. If I am right.... This is Very Uncommon and you're lucky to have seen this first hand! Thank you for this Amazing post!

I think galewhale is on to someting... I think it is a Meadowhawk dragonfly as well, yet there isn't enough for me to say it's a yellow legged. Mainly because there is the Saffron-winged that could potentially be in your area and they are very similar from the back. Thanks for the post, and best of luck to you!
