Scaly-breasted lorikeets (Trichoglossus chlorolepidotus) are a little smaller. Seems strange they would use the same nest. I had a look at juvenile rainbow lorikeet to see if they had different colouring but they just have faded patterns of the adults. It's definitely a scaly-breasted lorikeet in the box. Check it out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaly-breas...
Is that a scaly-breast in the hole or a young rainbow lorikeet?
Definitely an Apostlebird
Cardinals are great too! This is a friend's house. It seems they are a long-term visitors to the feeder. They weren't too concerned with my presence.
Yep, my professor Darryl Jones was the first to discover that the young are born within the mound and are self-sufficient, they survive with no help from mum and dad. Very cool!

They both look the same, I wonder what is the difference between the two?
