This looks like a upward shot of a rhododendron.
I saw one just like this one 2 days ago. These species must be common in the Pacific Northwest. I don't have more then the family either :(

Thanks! It was pure luck I caught it mid flight, it is very hard to get the focus to be on the dragonfly and not the background.
I know this plant as великденче (Easter plant) but unfortunately I also don't know the scientific ID
This looks like a buttercup to me.
I'd say this is a giant red ant.
