Palawan Hornbill

Description:

Nine species of hornbill are found in the Philippines and the Palawan hornbill is endemic to Palawan island but has also been recorded on nearby islands of Balabac, Busuanga, Calauit, Culion and Coron. Usually seen in pairs or small noisy family parties, and has a communal roosting site. It is usually observed in fruiting trees at the forest edge but also feeds on insects and small reptiles.

I think the 4th image should definitely be moved to the 1st position. Good looking bird! :-)

We also have it in the mountainous area of Tapaz town, Capiz but has a deeper red upper bill and taking pics of it is very risky since the place is the stronghold territory of NPA rebels.
