Spindasis vulcanus
Brilliant silver lines enclosed in black bordered red bands makes your first encounter with the Silverline quite unforgettable. Its reluctance to fly away also allows you to get really close to this butterfly. However its flight is extremely swift and once it takes off it is very difficult to follow its course.
The Common Silverline is found in open natural vegetation and is exclusive to the Indian Subcontinent. Seen near flowering gardens.
