Description:

Medium to tall shrub with many trunks and an irregular shape. Alternate, pinnately compound leaves. Small, fragrant, white flowers in May, and often after rains.

Habitat:

Common on dry limestone soil in sun or partial shade. His one was in part shade, growing in limestone based soil.

Notes:

Blossoms attract bees. Host plant to southern dogface butterfly.
