Calvartia fragilis

Description:

Gasteroid fungus. Violet gleba, spiny spores. with green spongy subgleba. The Dehiscence is irregular, in general, ants or oher arthropods start it. The exoperidium is brownish, and it becames to fall out in pieces with the time, letting the violet gleba exposed.

Habitat:

Arid zones.

Notes:

The violet gleba it's shared with other species of Calvatia, that's why a good microscope is needed to the right identification.
