Desert Agaric

Agaricus deserticola

Description:

This is a big agaric species, black grills and smooth and black spores. Woddy stem and, in my experience can grow up to 20 cm.

Habitat:

Sandy soils in arid and semiarid zones

Notes:

Can be mistaken with Montagnea arenaria, but A. deserticola develops a ring / volva and it's quite bigger.
