Geometer Moth

Biston insularis

Description:

Biston insularis - a Geometrid Moth (Geometridae) on a light pole. Wingspan about 3cm wide. Light brown in color, with some black wavy lines. Furry on the thorax and the sides of the wings next to the abdomen.

Habitat:

Poring Hot springs forests, Ranau, Sabah, Malaysia.

Notes:
