Willet

Tringa semipalmata

Habitat:

Inhabit open beaches, bayshores, marshes, mudflats, and rocky coastal zones. Eastern birds seek saltmarshes, barrier islands, and barrier beaches for breeding. 

Notes:

A solitary Willet showed up as I watched a little group of Sanderlings and Ruddy Turnstones run along the beach.
