Habitat:

They breed in the tundra of High Arctic Canadian islands and peninsulas. They migrating along the North American coast, and stop on hard-packed sand beaches, tidal mudflats, rocky coastlines, and inland bodies of water—including ponds, streams, reservoirs, and shallow prairie lakes. They spend the winter on sandy beaches all over the world.

Notes:

There a quite a few running up and down the beach getting their own food or chasing a few Ruddy Turnstones when they found a morsel. (see last pic)
