Alpine Marsh Marigold

Description:

I was almost stunned when I came across these beautiful wildflowers. Alpine Marsh Marigold are a fairly low growing wildflower with pure white petals and yellow anthers. The leaves are a shiny green,heart shaped and slightly toothed.

Habitat:

Spotted growing in the Cascade mountains at about 3500 ft. in a snow run-off bog.

Notes:

Also known as Howell's marsh marigold. (In the Buttercup Family)
