Description:

Can be told from the Great Blue Heron (white phase) in the background by the color of its legs and the tail feathers.

Habitat:

Island location. Saltwater marsh with buttonwood and mangrove trees along Florida Bay.

Notes:

Spotted at the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center at mile marker 93.6 in Tavernier, Florida.

Lee, This is a great series of photos of a great egret. This spotting has been added to the Cranes mission, but egrets, herons, and storks, while they look a lot like cranes, are not cranes. You probably should remove these from that mission. If you have questions on how to do that let me know and I can show you. Thanks...
