Description:

Approx. 3" wide. Redish top with white undersides.

Habitat:

Habitat damp places near water or in marshy places with mosses. Season summer to autumn. Apparently rare in Europe but possibly often overlooked. Found throughout northeastern north America.

Notes:

Found next to hiking trail leading to Bridle Falls in Dupont State Forest.
