Description:

Female of a Phasmid, Orthomeria superba from the family of Aschiphasmatidae. Most Phasmids from this family has the ability to spray a pungent liquid from behind their head when threatened. The size of this Female Phasmid is around 6 cm.

Habitat:

Tropical forest in Borneo at lower altitudes.
