Eastern Fence Lizard, male

Sceloporus undulatus

Description:

A male fence lizard in breeding-season coloration, sporting bright blue patches on the underside of his neck and sides. His back has more coloring than females' and juveniles', but he still blends in with the tree trunk effectively. I was chasing him around this tree to get his picture.

Habitat:

Woods in Little Mulberry Park.
