Description:

Cap convex with slight umbo, orange-brown to reddish-brown, smooth, velvety, margin very incurved at first; cap margin usually lighter in colour than center , stem , browner toward the attachment in wet moss.Gills white

Habitat:

Very damp moss area , of forest litter.

Notes:

Substrate: Substrate: Litter or well-rotted wood; saprotrophic. Like all Marasmius species it can revive after drying out.
