By the side of a small stream at an open sunny spot inside this huge thick forest, ruled by wild elephants.
Spotted this pretty dotted orange butterfly by the side of the road running through this forest.

Beautiful spotting!!
Thanks Pam for the comments. This and others were spotted along the road cutting through this forest on the way to Jaldhaka for an angling trip. While I was chasing these beauties my son kept the vehicle engine on in case wild elephants or anti-socials appear suddenly from the thick forest. In a group there's nothing to fear, in fact regular tours are organised for wildlife. There're also many other forests nearby for one-horned rhino, Gaur, elephants, pea fouls, etc. You can also check my spottings at Gorumara National Park. All tours're strictly accompanied by tour conductors. Best seasons: Sep - Nov. Good luck.
Thanks Desmond for the comment.
Absolutely superb, sir... Do you think it would be safe to go into these areas alone as an older woman? I would love to explore the butterflies in this region.
AMAZING!
Thanks staccyh for liking it.
