Hypoprepia fucosa
1 cm long tiger moth.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park, TN
Another moth from the ladies restroom in the campground!
Thanks Gerardo!Mandy, the males of many species of moth have big feathery antennae - the females tend to have much smaller ones.
Wow this is a beautiful one great find Karen:)
That IS funny! How can you tell with moths?
It was a really little guy Mandy! The funny thing was pretty much all the moths in the ladies restroom appeared to be male!
One centimeter? That's pretty tiny for a lichen moth.I like the note. Where else would one find a beautiful orange moth, if not in the restrooms? ;)
