Pergesa acteus
Pergesa acteus is a moth of the Sphingidae family. It is found in Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, eastern and southern China, Taiwan, Japan (the Ryukyu Archipelago), Peninsular Malaysia, Indonesia (Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi) and the Philippines (Palawan). The wingspan is 64–80 mm. The caterpillars feed on Alocasia odora, Syngonium podophyllum, Amorphophallus, Arisaema, Caladium, Colocasia, Dieffenbachia, Begonia, Commelina, Leea, Cissus and Vitis species.

Joanna Stebing, I don't think your ID suggestion is correct because of geographical location and the color of the caterpillar which is said to turn green at the fourth instar. The caterpillar in this spotting is in its 2nd to third instar.

Believe it or not one of these caterpillars turned red! i am taking care of 4 green caterpillars and 3 red ones in a container to observe its metamorphosis. Just now I checked, there are only 3 green and 4 reds!
