Little Yellow Butterfly (female)

Eurema lisa

Description:

The dorsal (top) view of the forewing has a broad dark margin and the hindwings of the female has black just at the beginning of the edge. Males have a full black border on their hindwings. Females are can be yellow or white (dimorphic).

Habitat:

Riparian meadow and woodland edge.

Notes:

These small butterflies can be confused with a Sleepy Orange because they are the same size, but they are never orange.

Thank you. I always try for one, but they do try one's patience. Sleepy Orange are worse since they usually fly about so wildly and never seem to land.
