Description:

at 1cm this is much smaller than the species shown on the Brisbane Insect site. The colour appears to stand out but these are night images and at about 30cm distance these insects almost disappear entirely

Habitat:

This one tree in a playground (same tree as http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/122...)

Notes:

The first image shows the odd sight of one of these insects feeding

I wonder if they are nymphs, no adults yet if that is the case, have to walk up and see if there is anything on the tree

The adults are up to 28mm long Also there are no males - this species is parthenogenic !!!
