Description:

The larva is called the banded woollybear while the adult is the Isabella tiger moth.

Habitat:

Spotted on an urban nature trail. (S. Creek Greenway Trail)

Notes:

According to Wikipedia "The banded Woolly Bear larva emerges from the egg in the fall and overwinters in its caterpillar form" however this spotting was made in the peak of summer...?
