Description:

A Royal Silkworm Moth. Family: Saturniidae, Subfamily Ceratocampinae. TL 35 mm (a little less than 1.50 inches) Russet FW with pink outer margin.White spot on each FW. Yellow fuzzy abdomen and thorax. Host: Red Oak (female)

Habitat:

Near woodlands. Attracted to light or near light

Atul, this is a gorgeous moth. It was really difficult to get a photo. It was in a very dark place. I got another one and it was on the light. I can't win. HA!
