In the parking lot at a national park in the Wenatchee Forest in Washington State, specifically Boulder Cave parking lot.
So pretty, wish we had them here!
They get pretty rowdy when they get drunk on Ash berries! Pretty hilarious stuff... once watched a drunk Steller's Jay try to fly into the Harbormaster's office.... straight into the windowed door. It then went around the corner and flew into the picture window.
very nice blue on this one
This is the provincial bird of British Columbia, Canada. They visit our nut trees in the fall and get their fill. They also imitate the Red-tailed Hawk's vocalizations in our area. Very interesting bird.
