Green Crab Spider

Oxytate virens

Description:

This species is common and widely distributed in several south asian countries. I found it camouflaging very well under a green leaf which is typical of this genus. It is about 10mm in length. This species is also characterized by the pink spots on it's abdomen.

Habitat:

On plant leaves in Rainforest Discovery Center (RDC), Sandakan, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 300m diameter. There is also a chance that this might not be a O. virens as this species is not scientifically recorded yet in Borneo.
