Description:

Some type of boletes about130mm wide, 110mm tall, cap copper-brown cap smooth with feint trace of scales, slightly convex; underneath is bulging tumeric yellow largish pores; stipe short, thick dirty yellow

Habitat:

Highway division within piles of pinus radiata needles

Notes:

A common northern hemisphere species also known as 'Slippery jack' and 'Sticky bun'. Edible Thanks to PatriciaPi for ID.

Thanks for that PatriciaPi I will start tracking these down after I have loaded a few more. I thought a 'northener' might know this being in pine needles.

it's similar to Suillus sp.
inhabit the northern hemisphere, but have been introduced in the southern hemisphere in pine plantations
