Hunting during mid-day in bright sunshine in a knee high grass meadow along the edge, the same place I saw a similar individual hunting on 24AUG2013. How much site fidelity is there in wasps? Having photographed this species before it is neat to see how they hold that what looks like a very large, cumbersome and heavy abdomen aloft as they are patroling in flight.
