Eastern Shieldback Katydid

Atlanticus spp.

Description:

This is a nymph, spotted lurking in the bark chips. Pale, not terribly large. Possibly A. monticola, but can't get a specific ID at this stage of development.

Notes:

Adult females have a really creepy ovipositor.
