Long-legged Centipede

Description:

This Thereuopoda centipede is closely related to the wellknown House Centipede and unlike the later, it is not found in houses. It is more common in caves and forests but unusually it was found in this drain. Many of it's legs are gone missing, especially on the left side, possibly due to attack from larger predators.

Habitat:

Possibly in the drain system of Nirvana Memorial Park, Tuaran, Sabah.

Notes:

>>>Map accuracy : 200m diameter. My first spotting of a long-legged centipede in my life. Before this, I have seen only it's exoskeleton back in Bukit Gemuk in Tawau.
