Paropsisterna octomaculata
This orange leaf beetle varies from the usual p. octomaculata by the two large black blotches at the rear being fused into one. It also has a clean orange ssuture. These species are probably the same. It comes from Horn (near Thursday Island) Queensland and was sent to me by Trevor Lambkin.
Paropsisterna octomaculata seems to be the same as Paropsisterna 8-maculata. One is shorthand.
