Choreutis lutescens

Description:

A tiny (~5mm TL) metalmark moth so named from the metalic scales which leave a distinct "mark" on the wings (as clearly seen in the above specimen). This group of moths occurs worldwide.

Habitat:

Spotted perching on the leaf of a variegated croton (Codiaeum variegatum) in a large semi-urban yard & garden next to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.

What they lack in size they more than make up for in coloration! Great series.
