Description:

grasshopper-type body. green with a brownish back. long antenna. long legs in "v" shape, brown straight-back tail. longish face.

Habitat:

found on butterfly bush....blends in with foliage and stems.

Notes:

very similar to grasshopper.

J: I just ran this through the Encyclopedia of Life and it sure looks like it's a Short-winged Katydid. I have another spotting up that's still unidentified but had been suggesed that it was a katydid nymph which makes the classification logical. Do I just change the common and scientific names, and add the new reference?
