White-tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

Medium to large deer with brown upper body and white lower body, tail and muzzle.

Habitat:

Woodland edges, farmlands and suburban edges

Notes:

This time of year the deer tend to be grouped in small herds as these were. I was primarily interested in the two bucks. The rest of this herd consisted of 3 - 4 does and 2 - 3 juvenile deer.
