Crepidotus cf. mollis

Description:

Small mushroom (less than 3 cm in diam.) with kidney shaped white caps that turn ochre when older. the caps are slimy. The gills are pale brown. Flesh gelatinous. This mushroom has no stalk although it joins to the stump on one single point where all the gill join. It grows on hard wood stumps. Very similar to other crepidotus species.

Habitat:

Spotted on a pine tree stum at the mountains ( more than 1300 m. high). Reserva de la Biosfera del Real Sitio de San Ildefonso-El Espinar.
