St. Paul's wort

Sigesbeckia orientalis

Description:

Tiny flowers with spiny seed box. About 6mm wide.
Meandering, twining, clambering, climbing...

Habitat:

In rainforest national park among other ground covers and debris.

Notes:

We have two species of Sigesbeckia. S.orientalis is also known as 'Indian weed' and 'St. Paul's wort'
S.australiensis is now on my to-find list.
Comparing to other images it seems this specimen is 'leggy' The leaves are smaller, the inter-nodes are longer. Is this to be expected in a 'dark' forest?
This is a type of daisy! ;-)
