Description:

Very dry mushroom, numerous in the area, growing under variety of broadleaf trees, pale cream to striking white.

Habitat:

Mixed woods

Notes:

It is an edible though unremarkable unless parasitised by Hypomyces lactifluorum transforming it into a Lobster Mushroom, a choice edible.
