Robber Fly with prey

Description:

Robber fly seems to have caught a bee...it had a tough time getting it in position...the prey was ALMOST as large as its predator.

Habitat:

Neora Valley Jungle Camp. About 3 hours drive from the coordinates shown. Remote hilly forested area. Himalayan foothills. We had walked down to Village Kolakham and it had just stopped raining. This battle took place in the bushes on the edge of the road.

Notes:

Predator-prey does not always mean large mammals!
