Wahlberg's epauletted fruit bat

Epomophorus wahlbergi

Description:

Brown to tawny colored with white hair patches at the base of the ears.

Habitat:

Riverine woodland.

Notes:

Unfortunately it is very difficult to distinguish between Peter's and Wahlberg's epauletted fruit bats without examining specimens, but apparently it is more likely that this one is Wahlberg's.

Oh, there it is :) Beautiful portrait!!! I will link this upload to a german scientist that will be exited about this spotting. He is also friends with some "bat crazy" ppl in the Swazi-univertity that you probably know.

If you would like to share your find i his mission here in PN http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/2464... I am sure he will be very grateful!
