Actinia equina
Welcome Cláudio. I recently posted a closely related species, which is sometimes called "sea cherries": http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/140...
I'm still learning things about the project noah. Thank you auntnance123 for your important information about Beadlet Anemone, and about the Noah Project itself. :)
Very helpful information; with it I think I've found the scientific name: Actinia equina. When creating a spotting it's important to provide as much information as possible, especially if the ID is in question.
I took the photo, when was low tide. It was in a small pond. The portuguese name for this is "morangos do mar", translated into English is "sea strawberries". But I think the comun name for this is Beadlet Anemone, but I don't know the scientific name.
Very interesting. I would guess it is some sort of anenome, but without more information an ID would be difficult. Where exactly did you spot it? How big was it?
