Description:

This large beetle is widespread throughout Australia. It is red, orange or brown and has white markings on the elytra associated with the small warty lumps.

Habitat:

On a roadside sapling.

Notes:

This species is the genus type representative (for Paropsis).

Yes, you can buy two houses :)
You will find this beetle (similar) in Tasmania and it is called Paropsis tasmanica.

Spent many a weekend down there , nice drive ...had friends at Picton for a quick stop and then on too sea air ....good day trip. Tassie won me over 10yrs ago now . :)
