White-V Hydroid Crab

Hyastenus borradailei

Description:

This crab was climbing slowly across the coral and move position so that it had one eye on me the whole time I was taking a photo. It was only about 2cm wide and had a beautiful White V on its back, hence the name. I love its long "horns" in the front.

Habitat:

Coral Reef. Spotted at Arthur's Rock during a night dive.

Notes:

Arthur's Rock is a Marine Sanctuary
