Amanita muscaria
Amanita muscaria var. guessowii. Common name is American Eastern Yellow Fly Agaric. It is a free gill mushroom. It is light orange in color, probably used to be brighter but has faded by exposure to the sun.
This gilled mushroom was spotted on a marsh nature trail at Buccaneer State Park in Waveland, Mississippi. It was covered by old leaves and was surprised how nice it looked when uncovered.

Thanks Antonio for helping to identify this mushroom. I did a lot of computer research to find the image that best matched it. I realize now that this mushroom is the same as the one I spotted a while ago. the other one was prettier. This one has been abused by the elements. Thank you also RandyL.
Antonio is correct, it is some variety of Amanita muscaria.
Oops! Sorry Mark. Thanks for catching all my mistakes. I'll try and do better. I'm still researching this mushroom based on Antonio's suggestions and will be changing the description.
...PS I hope you mean 'Gilled' instead of 'Grilled'
Hi Mary. If you copy texts from other sites please make sure you give acknowledgement. If it's from Wikipedia it's also a good idea to remove their internal references (the numbers in square brackets) Thanks.
Nice finding Mary, congrats,it seems to me that is or a Amanita muscaria,or a Amanita muscaria var. guessowii ,more orange than the other, the white dots on the cap shows that is a amanita, tried to confirm ,ok?
