Description:

A Humpback whale breastfeeding a calf.

Habitat:

These whales belong to a group that travels to the Sea of Cortez in their annual migration from the North Atlantic

Notes:

Females turn upside down to breastfeed their calves. Happy calves jumping and playing around their mothers after being feed are a common and beautiful sight!

Thank you Samuya and Lauren. Adarsha: the tricky part is that they remain invisible underwater until the last second before jumping, but in this case, the mother gave away his position ;)
