Ganoderma applanatum

Description:

This is an Artist’s Fungus resting on the side of a fallen of a rotting log. The fungus is sort of clay-colored and moist.The area is littered with lots of fallen-down trees, and also lots of twigs around the area. It is sort of shady in the area. The soil was very moist.

Habitat:

I am taking this picture around the ICS grounds, Islesboro, ME.
