Sphinx moth

Amplypterus panopus

Description:

This lovely Sphinx moth - also known as a Hawk moth - had a wingspan of 12 cm / 4.7 inches. So happy to see this moth again. This was just the 2nd time; the first time was just over a year ago… and was what triggered my 'moth mania'!! :-)

Habitat:

Hills overlooking Manila

Thanks again Leana! Yes, they are big and impressive! It was one of these that triggered my 'moth madness' about one and a half years ago....

Thank you Ann... <3
