Common Starling

Sturnus vulgaris vulgaris

Description:

These birds were moving in a large group. What confused me when identifying these birds was the fact that I am so used to seeing these little guys as blackish in color. This is the bird moulting in late summer to its winter colors (with spots).

Thanks! I guess from where I was these birds did not look like starlings to me, but they did move in a group and they were talkative. The sun highlighting their markings, and the fact that they looked rather big must have confused me.
