Description:

These large monkeys are renowned for their noisy calls early in a morning which is more like a dragon roaring then a howl. Their calls can carry for over 1 and a half kilometres and alerts other troops as to where they are feeding to avoid conflict. They are a russet red in colour and the males are a lot larger then the females and also having paler beards.

Habitat:

These monkeys prefer the lower to middle canopies of forests in South America and live in family groups of between 4 and 11.

Notes:

These monkeys always seem to have a grumpy expression on their faces.
