Ricania speculum
Small brown planthopper (I thought it was a moth!) with transparent wing patches. The tan color on its wing patches is actually the color of the orchids. Order Hemiptera, Family Ricaniidae, with common name planthoppers. http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:R....
Spotted on a vanda orchid. Backyard, in Biñan Laguna, Philippines.

You are welcome Agnes. If you look around you will find more interesting hoppers. Good luck.
Adjusted the missions as well :) Thanks again!
Thanks S Frazier and Jolly. Corrected the name.. this is my first planthopper :)
Agnes, S Frazier is correct. Its a plant hopper.
Hello. While at first glance this looks like a moth, actually it is a Ricaniid planthopper (Family Ricaniidae). You can see a similar ones here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/698... and here http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/727... . You'll need to adjust your missions :-)
